Every great recipe has a story. Ours began in 2011 in New Delhi.

A Bengali from Kolkata had moved to Delhi but couldn’t find the authentic Kolkata biryani she grew up eating. The fragrant rice, tender meat, signature potato, and subtle spices were missing. Rather than settling for an alternative, she decided to recreate the taste of home.

That passion gave birth to Kolkata Biryani House.

For the past 15+ years, we’ve been serving authentic Kolkata-style biryani prepared with traditional recipes, premium ingredients, and the same care that goes into a home-cooked meal. Every plate is crafted with fragrant basmati rice, succulent meat, our signature potato, a perfectly cooked egg, and the delicate blend of spices that make Kolkata biryani truly one of a kind.
